Summertime is upon us! Be sure to check your antifreeze/coolant. We all know that when the temps start to rise it's important to be certain your radiator(s) are full and/or topped off. Don't want any stop and go traffic to cause overheating!
From your friendly radiator reminder...........

I forgot to do this . We have now got a heatwave in the UK and I had to substitute beer as a coolant last night. Will this cause internal corrosion?

You may get a lot of frothing.
Personally I prefer to use still Scrumpy.

Just checked my coolant, I typically check it on the same interval as changing the oil. It's just easier for me to remember that way.
Jaimo!

Beer "post processing" may have been a better choice.

I am thinking about installing air conditioning on my R. Anybody done that successfully?

I looked into it - the main issue seemed to be the preponderance of extra piping, and it has to be of the correct standard, (naturally a German DIN standard exists).
I decided against it in the end.
