WOW. talk about a personal rocketship. That is a truly wicked machine. I like the different headlight, wild exhaust system and the monster engine but I don't get the tread on the tires. What is that all about?

It looks like a Japanese version of the Confederate Wraith. I like it. The first Jap bike since the V-Max that really gets my juice going.

D'you think it's a necessary component, or just part of the "Brute" styling? I like the Dunlop's tread patterns.
It's such an assault to one's "motorcycle vision" that I cannot tell if I like or not - it's like going to sleep as Wilbur Wright and waking up looking at a Stealth Fighter. I'm still recovering from what I think is a motorcycle.

Very cool. Style wise I bet its outstanding in person. Too bad HD's not going (at least with a few) in that direction.
Question on chain. Can you have an open chain like that, I mean wouldn't it throw crap everywhere & if it breaks kill the bike and/or rider? One thing a truely don't miss is messing with chains. Was always unsure what would happen if one broke at speed.

Sadly Frank, I think it's a bit..... over-the-top.
Has my "returning to basics" changed my enthusiasm for 'new & different'? Am I slowly becoming a "fuddy duddy"? Or is it that I just don't want to be tempted by..... the kind of temptation that thing offers?
I'm really, REALLY trying to behave on my 60 horses; I don't need to be looking at toys like that......
Maybe just a quick ride on a track somewhere?

Not getting the issue with the chain Darth, but then I'd probably be the last one to. My question (and again no mechanical genius here) is why is there a chain on one side and a belt on the other???
Looks wise...Can appreciate it for what the desginer was going for but, sorry rather put a 1200GS or an ST in my stable. Like the idea of the LED (I'm assuming) headlight, had to look at it a couple of time before I got the Jewish reference!!
My concern looking at it from the left side is and maybe this is common to to most V twin engines and I just hadnt picked up on, but if that thing throws a rod, youza gunna be a singin da soprano partzz, no?? Course you'll probably be dead so big diff but hey...

Craig...if you look close you will see there is no belt on the other side...just a swing arm that looks a bit...belt'ish.. 
That chain is huge...like the type they put on choppers to give that tough look...but then they would need to be tough...with all that torque...
