Took my Rockster in for the annual service last weekend, at 5000km, (6 months old) as I don't get near a dealer too often. They were very accommodating in fitting it in a Saturday morning , and had it ready by 10am. Rode it around for the rest of the morning, until I noticed an oil drip on the rear wheel after leaving it parked for a while. And a couple of others to match, from previous stops. Coming from rear drive drain plug, of course, which was happily unscrewing itself. Glad I hadn't taken off on the long trip home immediately. Rang them right on the dot of midday-"Sh*t", bring it back in" Checked the level myself first, then rode it back. Many apologies, but I am disappointed :( Not in the bike , of course, going great.

Taking a bike to a service dept is like putting a single bullet in an empty pistol, spinning the chamber, pointing it at your head and pulling the trigger. NO-ONE will ever do it as good as you. My advice - take the time and trouble to learn how to do things yourself.

Wow! Ranmar... if it was A/C I'm surprised. Never had problems there... though generally do all but the brakes and the readouts myself.

Yes, it was them-very disappointing.I am of the view that they go back to the dealer for servicing during the warranty period, then I mostly do my own.
