The new R1200S, lighter than the R1100S, 120 plus HP.

I think that I just might want one.

Nice work, Dean-o. Does it have that "pick-it-up-like-a-six-pack" exhaust outlet? Otherwise.... Woo-HOO! I don't mind the bright yellow at all. Black would be VERY menacing, however.

Yes it does have an underseat exhaust, for me the exhaust would be changed immediately. So far, my experience with a full Remus on two diff R1200 models, R1200GS/ST have shown true RWHP improvements along with lighter weight, less heat and better sound.
My sketchy info says that there will be 3 models of the R1200S, one a 999 beater....what ever that means.
Also sketchy info is the return of the BOXER CUP series with the new bike.
R-1200-S...

!!! I LIKE IT !!!
Man, if they come with a "Boxer Cup" series, and hence true Boxer Cup replicas you can get sans servos, that might be my next BMW...
Cool, Dean!
Thanks!

Oh Yes, if they come out with what they call the Replica version, which is really a stripper version....as the Rider of Darth says.."Hoochie Mama"
Oh, yeah...

Oh, yeah - Babeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
A "stripper" version of that would be the *TITZ*... No ABS, no servos, no heated grips, etc., etc., etc....
I doubt any of them will actually be "999 Beaters" out on a race track, but out in the twisties of the Hill Country... Hmmmm... I'm not so sure.
Get one of them "Boxer Cup Replica's"... Hang the right exhaust on it, a BMC/K&N filter, some DOT gumball production rubber on there, a couple of Ohlins shocks, etc. and you might have one of the most rideable, premier backroad weapons in existence...
I might be really game for that... Of course, that is, they don't price it off the moon!
Cheers!

doh, I knew it..a stinking crotch rocket rear seat,, I would buy one if only it had a decent rear seat like the rr or r1100s did....Is that the only option of the rear? #@$%#$%

I dunno'...
But personally I would never consider buying a bike like this for carrying a passenger... No true sport bike I have ever seen has any sort of decent passenger accommodations.
If I were to get one of these new R-1200-S's one of the first things I would do is toss the passenger footpeg brackets and figure out how to "cowl" the passenger seat, anyway...
Just my two cents... YMMV.
Cheers!

Oh Geez.
I know there's already an R1200ST, but do you reckon maybe one of the three variants might have bags as either an option or accessory?
If so... I might be there.

That pic still looks a bit photoshopie to me...also the bike seems to have odd lines from the side...but then so does the ST...IMHO..
Look at the angle of the front brake reservior..that can't be right.

Still a photoshop in my book. Look at the detail in the small pic at this thread:

They're not from the same bike.

I'm told that this is truly one of the versions.

I also hope they keep the under seat dual exhaust....I suspect I am in the minority on this.....?
