Autumn ride

I've bought some BMW Tourance trousers yesterday so they needed a full test ride. That was my excuse to my wife as she went to the Supermarket on her own.
It's been grey and damp all day but that didn't matter at all. As it is Rememberance Sunday I stopped of at a local watering hole (Devils Punchbowl cafe) to observe the 2 minute silence at 11:00am.
This is pretty high up so we are in the cloud base. Not many people around, some trail riders and cyclists.
The leaves are slow to turn this year but we have had a few light frosts and gales so it will not be long before they're gone. You begin to notice the roads staying damp longer into the day. I will keep riding through the winter but mainly on dry days. The local Councils use so much salt on the roads to deter black ice they take on a white sheen for most of the winter.
I stopped off at the little church at Seale. Looking picturesque in the autumn gloom.
Only two weeks ago I was in Turkey enjoying the Mediteranean sunshine. Now I am back into the British Winter!
So I make a request to everyone in the West coast of the USA or in the Southern hemisphere, in fact anywhere it is warm and sunny. Keep posting your ride reports with plenty of pictures with bikes, women, more bikes, drinking, food, even more bikes ect ect to help us through the winter!
BTW the Tourance trousers were warm and comfortable. A good purchase!
