Some hazards of the season....

We had a little "blow" come through the other night, and it left my favorite road a mess.

My corner of Johns Island is still nicely rural and there are usually few cars and fewer LEO's. So I have fun. Except when it looks like this:

Another perspective:

Man! Pine needles are slicker'n eel poop. Hopefully, by the time I head home, traffic and wind will have taken care of them.

A little further along, I had a Vulture appear in the air in front of me at about head height. Very impressive animal, when seen up close like that. Thankfully, no impact.

I shot a few more pics when I got in. Several veiws of the city (Charleston, SC) from across the harbor.

Can you tell why it's often called "The Holy City"?

These are some of the antebellum homes on "The Battery".

And a view of some of the port facilities:

No ships in port at the moment.

And finally, a Mockingbird in the sun.

I think it's gonna be a good day.

Peace

George

George,

I see that fall comes late to your locale. Watch them leaves and needles. We'll want you around for a while...
