I took all your advice into account. I bought a 6mm ball end hex key but didn't use it. I decided to make my own tool. I took an old 6mm hex key and cut it down to a 1.5 inch segment. Then I used a 1/4 inch ratchet and a 6mm socket with an extension. This made the instal for the right side bracket of the flyscreen much easier. I highly recommend it. The bracket that holds the light fixture got a lil' scratched but I touched it up a lil'.

I am considering painting the flyscreen the same color as my bike, Titan Silver. Any recommendations on this.
Thanks
Vinny

I painted the inside of my flyscreen with flat black paint. I like the look. Of course, mine is the real BMW color after all! :P

I actually did it twice. The first time I taped the front and edges and just painted the back. The light thru the edges looked weird, so I repainted, doing the edges the 2nd time and liked the results better.

DJ should chime in. He put a Buell screen on his or something similar, painted silver and it looks good also.

My little screen is really just a bit of a wind deflector and protection for the gauges...it's a BMW 650 GS screen...about $50...it's silver plastic.

It works better than the stock fly screen and mounts straight on the stock brackets...it stops the wind hitting you in the chest...and is so so quiet.. :D
