Does anyone have a close up picture of their right front wheel (on RR) they would care to post???? Right where the fork meets the axle? Okay, I probably used all the wrong terms, but perhaps you can read my mind. Something doesn't look right to me since it came back from service. I doubt they messed with that area in a service, but they had it for 3 weeks......no telling what was going on. I'd just rest easier if I knew everything was there that was suppose to be there. Maybe I just never noticed it before. If I knew the terminology, I would tell you exactly what I'm seeing, or not seeing. But I can't, so perhaps someone has a picture. I sheepishly wait a reply.

3 weeks!? Ouch! I always tell them that I'll be waiting in the showroom sitting on bikes untill they finish the bike...

If you can wait a little bit, I'll take a picture of my bike when I get home from work...

Okay, here's the right side of front wheel (oriented to sitting on bike).

And the left side.

Mine does not have the ABS ring.

What is it you think is awry?

Thanks for the pic, Phil. It was the exact area I was talking about, and a good view too. Funny, yours looks a heck of a lot like mine. Are you worried now??

Kristi,

Care to describe what it is that you see that's different? Both pics look just like my front wheel.

I don't really see a difference. After I saw Boxer's pictures I realized everything was fine. I was just messin' with DJ and that so I inserted the laughing smilies to convey my joking. I honestly did think something was wrong with my wheel when I looked at it this a.m., but all is fine after all. Sorry to cause a stir.

:smt046 I was thinking the same thing! I may have to pay them another visit. I sent my wife up there last Monday to buy a new fuel line quick disconnect. She's not the greatest w/directions (not too many women are - that's why they always stop and ask) so she had her manager taker her - who owns a Harley. They go to the guy I spoke with at the parts counter and he hears them talking - her manager is asking her when her husband (me) is going to get a real bike (Harley). The parts guy went off on him - giving him the 3rd degree about true riders and that BMW's are REAL riding machines! That shut her manager up real quick.
