The ABC network hype has been bugging me to the point where I have to waste my time and talents to start a post about it.



Do you realize that the Oscars go to what is essentially the best liars, the most convincingly deceptive people alive? The winners are the best at faking sincerity. Able to be someone, anyone they want - - - and everyone will believe it. For THAT they get a medal.

The most satisfying thing to me is that movie attendance nationwide is down to worrisome levels and they don't know how to fix it.

Another reason why I believe most of America will not care what they have to say against our President, the VP, the war, the port deal, our Military or in any way be interested in the all fake, silicon inflated, BoTox injected, ass-kissen ceremony has been said by someone else - - - "Here's one for the Oscar history books -- gay movies nominated all over the top categories."

ABC on Sunday nite? I don't think so !

I might watch it...it's often good for a laugh..

btw...Even down under we get an Oscars overdose...

It seems that in recent years, come Oscar time, I discover I have seen only a couple of the movies nominated as "Best Picture". This year, although I see a fair number of movies, I have seen zreo, zip, nada, none of the so called "Best" pictures.

And, in searching my thoughts for "why", I find when Judy and I discussed movies to go to, not a single one made our, "let's try to see this one, ooops, it left town before we made it" list. In other words, not a single one held any appeal for us.

Hmmmmm. I wonder why movie sales are down.....again.

Yes, the Oscar ceremony is a prime example of falseness, fake emotions, and lying, but there are plenty of other examples where those qualities are displayed, and usually in forums carrying a lot more importance than a mere movie award ceremony.


By the way, the best film winner, Crash, is one of the best, most thought provoking, and entertaining films I have seen in many a year.

Most of the nominated movies will do fine at home on the TV after the DVD comes out, there were really no huge spectacles that would benefit from a huge screen and massive theater sound system. Why bother going to see them in the theater? I bet you'll all eventually watch most of the movies at home and the studios will get their $ then... I agree, Crash was an intense, thought provoking movie...
