BikeSafe Show, Cheltenham, UK
Posted: Wed Mar 22, 2006 10:04 am
Dear all,
Just to remind you that the BikeSafe Show, first held at Cheltenham last year, is on again, over the weekend of April 1st/2nd - I know, a tempting date to plump for. but there you go.
We have much the same format as last year, only hopefully bigger & better.
The show starts at 1000hrs both days, until approximately 1700hrs, & Admission is free !
We are still not sure who exactly will be there on behalf of the race teams, but Maria Costello & John Reynolds are (hopefully) joining us, JR on behalf of the DfT, & will be chatting to riders, signing autographs etc. JR has said he'll bring his leathers so perhaps we'll get him out on the road.
We have the junior scooter demo.'s for the motorcyclists of tomorrow to try, & also Steve Saunders, 11 times UK champ, with arena trials
We have over 90 trade stands selling accessories and "stuff", & in addition all the major manufacturers are bringing along demo. bikes - the Big "H" will have a good selection of bikes, & if you want to resolve the "Dark side" issue, BMW will also have a good selection of bikes to try.
****************
JUST REMEMBER, if you want to try a demo. bike, you will have to produce your D/licence, both parts if it's a "2-parter" - we always get some poor soul who's travelled 100 miles, & realises he's left his licence on the mantelpiece
****************
If you want an assessed ride, on a demo. bike or your own, there will be trained Police riders from all over the UK on site both days, so don't be shy.
I would also like to lay to rest the conspiracy theory. The whole point of BikeSafe is to look at safer riding issues, not discussing number plate font size - enough said?
