Tank graphics

Post by u00jabv »

I have a 2004 red R1150R with some rock damage on the tank. The BMW touch up paint does not match well. Is anyone familiar with any tank graphics that look good on the bike? The defect is about 1" above the 1150 decals on the right side. Thanks

perhaps a "Calvin peeing on BMW touch up paint" sticker would do.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

Bullet holes like on Rossi's helmet... :D...I think they look cool...and often thought of putting some on mine.

bullet holes

Actually, I have a friend who has some bullet hole graphics on his GS. Might do the trick and be a conversation starter also! :P

I put some black Rockster tank stripes on my silver Roadster. Looks good.

Where did you get them? Can you order from an authorized BMW dealer? Might look good on my R, as it has black PC wheels and valve covers, and the black GS hand guards. Stripes might just make it go faster

I have some copy-cat Rockster stripes I made from reflective black tape. Not as reflective as I had hoped but still looks good.

That DOES look good! I'm thinking that getting the BMW stock sticker/decals (for Rockster) might be easier to apply, never having done any application of tapes, decals, etc. I'd be nervous about screwing it up. Here is a shot of my new R (sold by fellow Board member Ofrogg). I think the black stripes would look groovy on it and go well with the powder coated wheels and valve covers (by Ofrogg).

Previous owner mods. This is how she looks when I buys 'er. I think she looks pretty cool. Those black stripes might look even better. I'll check out the A&S fiche. Thx.
