My R won second place

Post by LonestaRR »

I put my '05 R in a local car/bike show on Saturday - mainly just to let people see what an R looks like. There were not a lot of bikes and not many in my class, so I ended up with 2nd place! It was a huge step for me because I've never even attended a bike show or a car show. I had the most fun taking pictures of some of the pretty cars there. Here's a pic of the trophy and my bike in the show and links to some of the other bikes and cars. The picture of the trophy doesn't show up very well, but it is curved glass about 6" high and 8" wide.

This bike has a revolver for a shifter. You can't see it in the pic, but it has a Texas theme with the state of TX cut out in some of the frame

Congratulations Kristi..your bike looks great...and should have won 1st place.. :smt023.

I also liked that last red car...it'd make a nice second car for just cruising.

Nope, not a Rockster-although if one had been entered it probably would have won. Mine was the only BMW entered in ANY category. A very pretty black Katana won.

Hi Kristi
Congratulations. May I ask your opinion of the little Giviv sports screen you have?

Awesome first outing! Congrats.
Your bike does look great.
Sounds like you're really enjoying new bike ownership to the fullest.
