Hi guys, I just had my R about a week. still practice my shifting, braking and balance. I take all the chance I can practice on local slow turns, stop and go traffic. stall TWICE so far...

I got a newbie question - there's strong gasoline smell every time after I return to garage (with garage door down). does your do the same? should I worry about it?

Thanks!

Either someone removed the charcoal canister -or- misconnected the two fueltank vent hoses -or- you have a high pressure EFI fuel line joint leak. Get a bright light and look under the fueltank. Find it ASAP!!

When everything is right, you should NEVER smell fuel - - - just like your car.

Check to make sure that you have pushed your gas filler lid completely down. I had a "gas smell" and it turned out that I wasn't closing the filler cap all the way.

Thanks for the advice. sorry that I didn't make it sound clear. the gas smell only happen when shut it down. it will only last about 2-3 hours in garage. after that I don't smell gas anymore.

I checked under fueltank and there's no leaking sign. nothing on the floor either. fuel cap are fully closed.

hope this help.

I park in a small garage and have never smelled gas. I would look carefully at the charcoal canister lines.

Check along the bottom right hand edge of the tank for fuel residue and look for any yellow staining on the RH cylinder near the engine block. Mine has a leaky o-ring in the fuel pump plate under the tank that is going to be replaced tomorrow. I could smell it as well!
