The pics are pretty blurry so it's hard to tell. IMO, I think it looks too close to the current Roadster. Based on their current trend, I believe the new R 1200 R will be a much more radical departure from the R 1150 R.

Gotta admit, I like it...
Same small screen as the K12R, really like the stubby version of the exhaust off the KR also. Keeping the beak design stays with the family..

It's indeed the new R1200R. We've had it directly of the BMW shop.
You'll see the real pictures some day of next week. Engine has 109 HP
The second pic is a photoshop we've made with a designer on our forum.
Ther was already a thread some months ago.

Not bad, but initially I still like the current design better. I'm sure that won't last. Now I need to REALLY avoid going to the dealer.

Hmmm, updated headlamp. Did they give us projectors?
Looks like that mini-fairing is begging for a larger tinted version.
LCD instruments look like they are capable of more information than
land & engine speed.
Clean, low profile mirrors.
Oil cooler shrouds directing hot air through body work and
NO LONGER onto the rider's thighs!
However, I like that the traditional beak filled in that long void
between upper tubes & tire.
Rubber covered braided brake lines? Cool.
ABS ring shown, sans servos? Switchable off to on?
Bodywork & seat appear to be narrower where the
height challenged thighs would hang.
Shortened muffler looks good. It'd be nice to get back to a quiet
unmodified exhaust again.
Notice too that there is no longer a HUGE HOT CAT' converter
where one's ankles ride.
Looks like the kind of grab rail outfitted to accept a luggage rack.
Will it still be cheap & virtually useless like the 1150's?
The seat appears to be equipped to accept a seat cowl,
they gonna offer a 'Sport' version Roadster?
No rear fender? Must be a picture made to appeal to the American market,
the Euro is required to have long & ugly "mud guards"....
I like it, it's basic, simple, no frills, and very clean; I WANT ONE!
And with the 95 horsepower I said I wanted at the rear wheel,
with at least a 60 pound weight loss.... WooHOO!!!
I can only hope that the fuel injection is as seamless
and glitch-free as the best elsewhere on the market.
Is there ANY hinting at price yet????

That's a photoshop job (note the bump on the rider's part of seat).
But if it's close to that, it gets my vote (and my money, no doubt).

The pic that DJ posted is it and with the ST/RT engine.............as I have been hinting at for some time. Lighter, with all the new running gear and with the better engine. The stock R1200GS engine dynos at 82-84 RWHP, this engine dynos stock at 99-101 RWHP. The bike will be identifiable to the current RR but several magnitudes better, the new improved non servo ABS brakes as on the new R1200S, etc.
