Involuntary Rear Wheel Customization!

I have never heard of this happening...UNTIL....a rock jumped up while I was riding a short (500ft) section of gravel at some road work..and jammed itself between my swingarm and rim!...The wheel now has a 1/4" 'racing stripe' where the rock cut off the paint/undercoat right to metal! I did catch it right away, and stopped, then backed up to release it...but the damage was done...

Any repair advice...??

It is rideable...so the repair will wait until winter....

KB, I've used these guys twice for repairs to the M3 wheels on my '96 3 Series.

The do fantastic work, guaranteed, and you'll get your wheels back looking better than new. They have been written up in some of the car magazines. I don't know if they do MC wheels but worth a call. Sounds like your damage would be a very minor repair.

Good luck !
