Got my Roadster back last W-day. Put 600 mi on her in the last 7 days. Bike runs super. Thanks Velocity Cycle for putting her back togather right the first time Total was $2524.00 Dealer told Ins Co the Motolights caused the frying,so the Ins co wouldn't cover a penny of it. The modification of the electrical sys. gave them an out. Now if I had told them a mouse had chewed the harness and caused a problem they would have covered the loss.. Oh well, the damage is done and over. Honesty has its own reward. If you see a black Roadster tooling around South Centera Pa give ma a wave. Keep the greasy side down.

South Central PA huh? Me too! I'm in Dover, just north of York. You know, the stupid little town who tried for Intelligent Design in school? Yep, thats us! I see lots of other BMW's but have yet to see another R. I have a red Roadster so if by chance you see me around York, give a wave!

Though I live nearer Phila, I often ride out towards the York area. I'll keep a look out for black and red R's - mine's red as well. I'm convinvrf red is nearly invisible - my R has been knocked down twice by cagers while parked.

Really the Motolights? Yikes... I had been considering some for my bike over the PIAAs, but...hmmmm..... though I must say a lot of people like them and use them... were they a self-install or a dealer?

So auxillary lights caused the melt down, eh? Interesting! I've installed auxillary lights on BMW R75, K100RS, K1200RS, R1150R and NEVER even had a blown fuse. (Only problem experienced was auxillary lights would drain the R75 battery if bike was ridden around town)

Sorry to see you get "hosed". I think your BMW dealer went for "deeper pockets", rather then have to deal with an insurance company and wrongly installed cable ties. (My 2005 Roadster had very tight cable ties near the frame head)

Incidently, was your dealer on Rt11 in Mechanicsburg?

My motolights have been on my bike for four years with no problems (self installed). Sorry to hear about your problem.
