OK, I'm really on a roll now. This is the most motorcycle questions I've asked since the 1980's. Do any of you have speakers in your helmet? How did they get there? Who put them in?

I bought a pair of speakers called Blasters years ago made just for helmets, they're still working.
In my other helmet I tore up a pair of head phones and installed them without any trouble.
I use them to plug into my radar detector.

I wear earplugs too.

I've got an Autocom Pro-7 Sport system. Speakers are part of it.

Installed them myself in my Arai. Niiiice.

Like lion lady I have the autocomm but i have the easi 7 system and I too put the speaker in myself its really easy really really easy you just unsnap the helmet paddding and position the speaker inside of the area that has been already been cut out for your ears and then just push it in the hole so your ears are not bothered by the speaker . then there is a communication box that is placed wherever you want, I had mine in a tank bag till just recently when I hard wired it to my battery so I didn't have to keep putting 9volt baterry every time it died. that comm box has inputs to plug in your mp3 player and your telephone ,it also has the other part of cable that connect to the tail that will be sticking out of your helmet so you can acually listen to your tune it also has a hook up for a mic. so you can talk on your phone and your passenger while riding!

I use a pair of dismantled headphones - the slightly larger type rather than in-ear ones. They're tucked into the liner where there's a gap in the soft padding. Cost me £15. :D

I use a pair of SHURE E2c headphones. They work like earplugs as far as blocking out outside noise and they sound great.
