I have a HJC AC-11 helmet now and it's pretty good as far as ventilation and visability go. but let me tell you this thing is LOUD :x at highways speeds. So I was thinking of getting a new lid I've been doing alot of looking arond. from the BMW system 5 helmet with the nifty bluetooth feature (thought it costs damn near $1000.00  all said and done), to the Revue that rear view mirror feature.

Though I think I've settled on the Schuberth J1. theres a good Web bike review on it http://www.webbikeworld.com/schuberth-j1/ and it sounds like it would reduce the noise level. though for the price of nearly $600 dollars and having to find one some where else (not sold in the US) I was wondering if any of you guys have had one and can let me know if it's worth the money, trouble.

Here ya go... http://www.r1150r.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=7744

I gave my new System 5 a good test last weekend...I love it.

It's quieter than the older system 4..and feels lighter..plus the vents work so good that when I flipped open the forehead vent I got an ice cream headache.

See now thats what I'm looking for, for a texas summer.
How much did the system 5 cost though, and did it come with the bluetooth option?

My system 5 costs $850 Aussie..I paid $750 Aussie...that's about $500 US dollars....I didn't get the blue tooth option..I might get that later..I think it's an add on.

I paid 440 Euros for my System 5, and it was worth every penny. I should add that even before the accident, it vented especially well.

If anyone ever needed proof of a reason to wear a helmet, thats it. looks like it held up pretty well.

That is one concern I have for the schuberth J1 is with that huge face visor how well will it hold up to an accident?
