My New Blog

I don't have it all exactly how I want it to be, but its close. My little buddies Scam and Cranky Shaft will eventually make an appearance in the form of a single frame cartoon and all will be right with the world.

Right now I'm still feeling my way around the software and learning how to make the plugins work to my satisfaction, but you will get the drift of it.

I owe thanks to DSKYSD for helping me get it up and running and to TAOSPORTS for allowing me to use his wonderful photography for my header photo. A also owe gratitude to all my friends, both virtual and real, here at R1150R.Net for giving me countless assists over the years on working on the bike and helping me get through some personally rough times. I sincerely hope that what I offer in this venue will promote interest in motorcycling, joviality and humor in a much-too-serious world, mechanical assistance and a place where anyone with something significant to say about this sport of ours can come and join in.

I have no delusions that what I say is of vast significance to the world but I just felt a need to have a place...a home as it were...to write my thoughts about motorcycling and life in general and to post photos and reports about day rides and tours that I make.

You're all welcome to come for a visit and keep returning when you like, to see what's up at Slablog.

And keep an eye out for Scam and Cranky.

You are correct. It's shame that my home connection is better than my work connection.

Thanks!

How ong are you gonna do the soup?
That soup was un-natural! Actually, it wasn't that bad. My wife just didn't get it completely cooked the first day and it was like raw veggies in a soup. Made me gag. But after that, it got better. It was only for a week. I dropped 12 pounds and this week back to a semi-normal diet but still conscious of the fats, sugars and breads. Then next week we're planning on doing it all over again. I'm tellin' you it's a ball buster. I was never really hungry but I craved bread and sweets the whole week. Now, we went out to celebrate at Red Lobster last night and shared a shrimp combo dinner. It just about made us both sick, it was so rich. Today it was back to fruit and soup for dinner. Much better on the tummy.

This is a much better way to lighten the load on the Roadster too. :D

Well Boxer, you have outdone yourself again......now you have a couple of new challenges, the Blog and the weight reduction. BTW, where are you now, on the scale that is.....

I do agree with you that we eat wayyyyy to much here. I lost 18kilos (almost 40 pounds) in Tokyo and wan to lose another 40 lbs, that should bring me to fighting weight.

As a matter of fact while I was writing this post a I had a flashback to the BBI, main street Franklin, you and I siiting on the back open patio of that little cute Cafe. You were sipping a latte, or some likely brew and we were talking about riding boots, you were praising your old and trusty riding boots, it just seems like yesterday, they are great memories.

Hey, great site, keep it up.... 8) 8)
