Low Fuel Light

Hi peoples
Is it poss to adjust the low fuel light as mine comes on when there are 6 litres/146 mile left and I DON'T ride hard.
There must be a ' thingy' I acn adjust.

Sorry, nope!
I just fill it up at the first station after the light in case I forget how far I've gone. Would hate to push this thing.

some times my fuel light comes on with half a tank full on board? i found that if the bike is on the side stand the light will light up until the censor in the tank adjusts its self when level

renegade use your odometre in conjontion with your gasoline light
just dont forget to reset
works good

It is alot of work, to make that little yellow light come 10-15 miles later, but it can be done. Remove the tank, then pull the fuel pump assembly out, and you will see a small white cylinder next to the pump. There are three or so indents that the low light warning sending unit can click into, put it into the setting that sits it the highest in the tank. Yours might have fell off like mine and is hanging loose, that is why it lights up when there is lots of fuel left. By the way the fuel pump assembly snakes out of the tank like one of those twisted metal puzzles, take your time.

Here's what he's talking about. The fuel pump assembly is placed on the naked bike in nearly it's normal position and orientation. It also shows the relocated canister and how I bent my battery terminals to fit the WestCo battery as mentioned in another current posts.
