Re: Improving 2004 R1150R: AF-XIED vs ReCyclizer, +1200 injectors
Another 04 with AF-XIED using 7 for the setting. I live at 7000 feet. Still get a little surge at low RPM and no load (25 - 30 mph in 3rd gear on slight down hill). Maybe a little less milage but much smoother at going down the road speeds. Open road gives an honest 50 mpg.

Re: Rocksters Headlight question
I would still like to come up with something that will fit in the orginal bucket. There are a couple of nice H4 bulbs out their but nothing that replaces the H1, that I can find. I'm talking LED.

Sweatmark - I am interested in how your project will come out. I have been playing with ideas on this, trying CAD design for fitment ect. But I have not gotten to the buying hardware stage yet.

Re: Aux Lights
I pulled power from a fused 10 ga wire that I added, coming off the battery to a relay. The relay signal wire comes from the light switch. I tucked the relay under the insturment panel ( Rockster). I also made a terminal strip for ground that is under the dash. The ground wire for this goes to the b...

Re: AF-XIED - This thing is amazing!
I have had mine in since July. 8000 feet down to 4000 and less feet, 100 degrees F down to 22F. I can't tell any difference in mileage and it runs smoother and is more responsive than stock. 2004 Rockster.

Re: Well, I bit the bullet.
Update. I went 500 miles today and my milage is not any less than before the XIED install, as far as I can tell. The trip went from 7000 feet to 4000 feet and back. 95% open road. There is still a little surging at no load - low speed conditions. BUT, the overall drivability is much improved over st...

Well, I bit the bullet.
2004 Rock with 55,000 miles. I pulled the injectors and had them cleaned and flow matched. The originals were in better shape than I thought they would be. Then added the XIED. I have run a tank of fuel through it and there is no doubt it runs smoother and takes throttle in a more refined manner. I ...

Re: Just bought a Rockster what do I need to know?
All of the above posts have hit the nail on the head. One more thing to watch are the U joints. Take the drive shaft out and check the U joints for "notchyness". I think the age of the grease has as much or more to do with failure as milage. (and how much grease they managed to actuall get...

Re: rear brake (ABS) dragging
On my Rockster (same ABS) I have to remove the rear caliper and clean and lube the slide pins about twice a year. The inside pad will wear faster than the outside. No need to remove the caliper from the hose to do this.

Re: abs again
Just a comment from a user. The rear caliper seems to need a lot of attention (TLC). I ended up removing the power pack because of a malfunction. The operation of the brakes after the removal is more user friendly than with the power pack. Especially at low speeds. Lever effort is the same as far as...

Re: Valve Tapping?
I did a quick look through this and saw just a brief mention of the throttle body shaft. Have you put your finger on the right side throttle body pull, on the engine side of the TB. You may feel the pully hammering around and finger pressure will quite things down. Do this at idle. At about 25,000 m...

Re: Life Saving Add-on??
I don't know if the USA models are different from the Euro ones but mine cancel something like 45 seconds after activating. I thought it was a time thing. My Sportster has a lean indicator that turns the blinkers off on right after straighting up from a turn (lean). I always thought that was a good ...

The oll' ABS power pack
04 Rock with 50,000miles. It got to the point that when applying the front brake it would lock up, then releasing the lever to get the wheel turning again and reapplying the brake all I got was residual. Blinking lights 7 & 8 (lights on the dash as shown in the owners manual). If I released the ...

Re: New to tubeless tires...
I picked up a nail on a new tire and used a plug. The plug would not hold air so I dismounted the tire and put a patch on the inside with the plug still in place. When I replaced that tire after 8000 or so miles the plug was being forced out of the hole and the patch was following it. Tread wear kep...

I use T6 (Rotella) in the winter. Then change to Valvoline VR1 for summer. This part of New Mexico we get some wild tempature swings and the Boxer seems to like the Rotella in the winter.

Might be a good idea to take measuements of a good intact part and someday somebody might be able to make a few spairs. 3D printing might be just the ticket.
