the music in your ears !!

Post by turrider »

Here is a question that was never asked ! When you are ready to depart on your bike, at the very moment where you increase your will to depart by the means of the throttle...which music is echoeing in your ears ?

Mine depending on the mood of the ride on my beast are;
- desert rose/sting; cool summer ride
- little wing/Jimi Hendrix; sweet ride on highway
- riders on the storm/ the doors; dizzy weather

What is yours ?

The Allman Brothers - Midnight Rider.
Tom Petty - Runnin' Down a Dream
Blue Oyster Cult - Transmaniacon MC (the only song on my list that's actually about motorcycling.)

So, it seems that all genres of rock fit very well for a R bike. In the course of thinking i recall even runaway from bon jovi. Do you guys think R type fits very well for ride and roll ? How about R nineT ? I do think an equivalent feeling as ducati diavel. How does Gs riders feel ?

I agree many of the songs listed are great songs but I always thought it had to be AZBMWRIDER'S choice ! A close second would be Bob Seger's " Roll Me Away"

On day 1, minute 1 of a long road trip, I might mutter a few bars of "On the road again" into the helmet mic.

Jumping into a mountain road session, it's "Departure - Ride my seesaw".

Third session of a track day, with sticky tires, something head banging.

whatever song My mp3 player is spewing at the time. I leave it on shuffle and have everything from Jimmie Dale Gilmore, to Billy Holiday. I am a DJ on a community radio station and often listen to the latest music into the studio, so I never know exactly what I'm going to hear.
