Re: Meet Blanche
Dbrick, his pix of the bike with SW Motech bars are excellent, and will do just as well as pix of mine. Thanks, Mike. They are clean for sure. Still, I continue to dither. angellr: that is one sweet-looking machine. I really like the color. David, thank you! I had them on the previous '07 ... and i...

angellr: I see you got the SW Motech crash bars, before the accident. Smart man! Smarter than me... Dbrick, his pix of the bike with SW Motech bars are excellent, and will do just as well as pix of mine. Had SW Motech crash bars on the previous ride - INVALUABLE!! Because this has the sport seat an...

Boy, that is a hot bike. Congratulations! Bill, Thank you. After seeing your pics of a white R12, thought that was the cleanest look and have wanted a white one for a long time. Just filled up the tank for the first time and believe it or not, the empty fuel indicator actually works <vbg>. Am likin...

Hi Bob, Congrats! I think the R12R is quite handsome and striking in white. With the blacked out mechanicals - it looks even better. What is the special sport seat? The one in the photo looks an awful lot like the original low seat.. BTW - I envy you the black rims.. be so much easier than cleaning...

Meet Blanche
Picked this up yesterday - the new Dark White R1200R, her name is Blanche. http://i.imgur.com/th5QTmL.jpg With the new Kriega 10L "tank bag" - notice this is ALL blacked out, final drive, wheels, everything. Also has the special sport seat (and man does it feel GOOD!). Taken from the iPhon...

Re: NO BMW content Medic-Alert
I carry medical info in a zip lock in my tank bag but am looking for something small to attach to myself. How about a Resqtag? "Tag that affixes to the strap of a helmet. When opened, tag contains important information written by you: name, contacts, allergies, medicine, conditions, or anythin...

Re: Could this be my clutch or something else?
Just got back from a Saturday ride. 2009 R1200R bought new in 2011, still under warrantee and 7200 miles and 7K service was performed two months ago. While riding on the Long Island Express way in 4th gear noticed a stutter upon acceleration. Problem subsided for about 5 minutes but then rest of th...

Re: Cold and QD's don't mix well
This is just an observation and something to consider. Rode my bike to work yesterday morning (working P/T now!) and noticed a gas smell when I parked. It was 22 degrees. Gas leaking from one of the QD's. Had to go out again mid day and all was well. But I think it all warrants a closer inspection ...

Re: NineT Owners Photo Thread
Congratulations! Incidentally, it's likely the camera angle, but in your first pic, the NineT looks significantly smaller than the R1200R next to it. It's not the camera angle, it is smaller or at least shorter. You sit ON the ninet instead of IN the R1200R in many ways as others have said. The low...

Re: Rest ride video from Germany
Guy said he loved riding it and that it didn't feel like the r1200r (as he expected) but has a totally different feel riding it. Also says the only thing he wished they would have done differently (besides instrument cluster) was that it had the sport ABS brakes like the 1000rr. Apparently he had a...

Re: I'm selling my 07' R1200R.
Thanks all! Yeah it took some time for me to look around to get right back to where I'm at with a boxer motor. The R9T at first glance didn't do it for me, the first photos I saw were of the no tail section flavor bobber and I thought it looked stupid and couldn't work for me. Then more photos star...

There are quite a few: The Allman Brothers - Midnight Rider. Tom Petty - Runnin' Down a Dream Blue Oyster Cult - Transmaniacon MC (the only song on my list that's actually about motorcycling.) If you arent familiar with it, check out Willie Nelson's version of Midnight Rider. As much as I love the ...
