Dang, it happened again...

Post by toner87 »

I go over to the BMW shop to pick up an adapter for a Battery Tender a friend gave me and while looking around I notice they have an Arai Signet GTR on sale in my size (XXXL) for $250.00. Knowing how well this helmet fits my melon, I just couldn't pass on this deal, even if it isn't the latest model... So, I go for a $13.00 part and end up spending over $280.00... Is there something wrong with me? Do I need counseling?

Yes, but I have to warn you that it is fairly expensive.

If it fits you, nothing wrong with stockpiling a helmet. Not like it will spoil on the shelf before you need it!

I once found a good deal on some boots on closeout. I used them everyday for work, so I bought two more pairs. By rotating three pair of boots, I didn't have to buy anymore for about 10 years!

Toner,

Just look at it this way...Look at all the money you saved since the helmet was on sale. And it more than paid for your battery tender part.

Think maybe we need a big couch in the shrinks office...

Maybe we can get a group rate for board members! :P

Actually, I always thought my bike kept me from needing a shrink's couch.

And Kristi, I have a feeling you don't need an excuse to shop! I sure don't! Just need the right store. Give me a motorcycle shop or an outdoor store or a gun shop and I can shop with the best! If I only had the money! :?

When I was playing a lot of tennis, I found a pair of Prince shoes that fit me perfectly. I went back and bought five more pairs. My motorcycle fits me perfectly. I wish I could buy five more.

You can justify that purchase knowing your new muffler is only going to cost you 5 bucks
