Kisan Signalminder

Post by Croc »

I've wanted a signalminder for a while and just purchased one.
Fitted it yesterday - simple enough, however, as soon as the plug makes contact the right side indicator lamps come on and stay that way. Switching the ignition on/off makes no difference. The only way to shut off the indicators is to un-plug.
Phoned the supplier and he said to plug in the 3-wire plug and just tape up the ends and that should do it. I have done this but made no difference. Do I have a dud :?:

The is the SM-5. Any suggestions appreciated.

I remember hearing there were some SM-5's defective from the factory - sounds like you might have gotten one :(

I installed mine last year and it has worked flawlessly since.

I'm not an expert by any means but I'd vote for a dud. I installed one about 6 months ago and it was totally "plug and play".

Ask for a new one.
