A New Tour Service

Post by BobFV1 »

This came from one of the industry mags for Corporate Aviation which I get. It seems to me if you are flying from riding destination to riding destination in a private jet - you could afford to buy a new bike in each desination and then just leave it on consignment with the dealer there.

The same mag had an article about Michael Jackson (accused child molester, not the wine critic) flying a Ferrari to his new house in Bahrain so he wouldn't be stuck on a "long waiting list" to get one there. I thought he was broke!!!

A NEW TOUR SERVICE: GO BY PRIVATE JET TO NEW DESTINATION NIGHTLY; YOUR MOTORCYCLE IS DELIVERED FOR YOUR NEXT DAY'S TOUR

ELLETTSVILLE, Indiana-A new tour service offers to provide a private jet flight to the destination you choose and deliver your motorcycle each day. According to John Garwood who operates Ride and Fly Tours, guests fly to each destination of his individually customized tour in the comfort of a private jet, enabling the traveler to have a first-class ride each day on his motorcycle, which is delivered overnight while the guest is staying in a hotel.

"Motorcycling is an unparalleled way to see this beautiful country," says Garwood, a long time biker who conceived the idea for Ride and Fly Tours on one of his weekly flights hop scotching North America by corporate jet, and constantly wishing he had a motorcycle waiting at each airport. Garwood has made this dream a reality for those discriminating motorcyclists seeking the ultimate touring experience.

Tours can start at any point you choose, where you will meet your local guide with tour support personnel and vehicle, Garwood says. Your guide on motorcycle will escort you on the finest roads in every area you choose to tour. Each day's tour concludes at an airport where riders board a private jet to be flown to their next day's riding adventure.

Boy that sure beats the guys trailering their bikes to Daytona or to Sturgis.

Now that’s REAL MOTORCYCLING. I wonder if the Iron Butt Association is planning on including this new offering in their events. I can see it now, 100,000 miles in ten days.

Who would have thought . . . :?:

Delivered motorcycles

Post by JCsman »

If the delivery of the motorcycle was made by RIDING the bike to the destination....ah the "retirement job" I've been seeking. And I'll work cheap!

Let's see, gas, one way flight back home, per diem, minimum wage....
A guy that flies a Gulfstream could easily pay that. Right? Right?????

You Are On To Something

Post by FGanger »

JCsman,

I think you are on to something. The down side to having ones bike carried to your destination is your speedometer does not register the miles from portal to portal.

Your plan will allow the person to have bragging rights at Sturgis for example. One could stay around and ride the bike back home for him or, in the case of Sturgis, fly out and pick up someone else's bike and do the same.

This sounds better and better especially since the carriers of these bikes charge an outrageous amount of money. On my part I would have to draw the line on a hard tail chopper. A couple of thousand miles on one of these would send me to the Emergency Room.

Way to go,
Frank

Frank - maybe at the destination you could get some leftover Dom Perignon and caviar from the aircraft!

Bob,

I like it, I've always wanted to be a professional motorcyclist. The more I think about it the better it becomes. Why did I spend so stinking much time in school, a glorious future awaited me.

Of course, on the other hand (there is always an “on the other hand” with me) most of the machines would be Harley's. Now that wouldn’t be so bad except many of the machines would be hard tail choppers. Hmmmm . . . I’ll need to think that part over.

Problem solved, my wife says I could get shot up with a long lasting local anesthetic to numb my body parts. Enough Dom Perignon would numb the rest of me - no sweat.

Okay, where do I sign?
