Re: Replacement tires for Rockster
Checking back in on tires. I replaced my Continental Road Attack "C" with Michelin Pilot Power 2CT on the front and Pilot Road 2CT on the rear. I like the ride and feel and so far they are wearing better than the Conti's.

Re: Replacement tires for Rockster
I've had 2 sets of Continental Road Attack "C" tires on my Rockster in the last 11,000 miles. I live in Northern California and do alot of varied riding, from coastal and mountain twisties to the superslab. Both sets have worn almost exactly the same, the rear tire wears first and gets squ...

Re: Is the Rockster for me?
I get over 46 mpg on the highway cruising at 75+mph. 400 mile round trip last weekend to Lake Tahoe from the SF bay area averaged 46.5mpg. I have the factory windscreen and had the side bags on. I think my rockster is the perfect bike for me. It's great around town and someone always comments on it....

I found great deals on tires at www.jakewilson.com, free shipping over $100 and they have a Feb special going on now. I got a f/r set of Conti Road Attack "C" for <$250 delivered.

Re: Advice for a possible new owner
As a fairly recent BMW owner and a rider for many years, I have to say that owning a BMW becomes an intimate, spiritual experience. You'll get to know what sounds right, what feels right, and if you have any mechanical inclination at all, you'll be able to make everything right, on your own. The goo...

Re: Bike needs New Tires... Metzeler M3 Z6 Pirelli Strada....
I just installed new Conti Road Attack "C" front and rear. I replaced the rear ~500mi before the front. I replaced Metzeler Z6 f & r. I have no complaints. The tread patterns are indeed reversed front to rear. I first saw them and thought the tire tech goofed. I checked and the arrows ...

Re: rockster not starting
Did you by chance move or touch the throttle cable adjuster at the engine? If the throttle cable guide came unseated from the adjustment ferrule, the bike won't start. A quick visual will tell.

Re: Lane splitting
Lane splitting is allowed and is so stated on the California Highway Patrol website. In their FAQ section it says: Can motorcycle riders "split" lanes and ride between other vehicles? Lane splitting by motorcycles is permissible but must be done in a safe and prudent manner. Obviously ther...

Re: Battery charged, but bike won't start
Amazing. I changed my grip heaters and my Rockster wouldn't start. I fiddled with everything, charged the battery for days. I finally found the post on the throttle cable not being seated in the adjustment ferrule. It came out when I took off the throttle side grip heater. A simple "put it back...

Re: Heated Grips
I just took a right side heated grip off my Rockster. I will sell it if you're interested. $60 I was a little ambitious taking the spade connectors out of the socket and one came off. A little solder and a new spade and you're done. It works great. It's the ribbed grip style. Not worn out. I replace...
