Now, for the statistic fetishists  , let's do some math. Is it correct to expect that from these numbers (only 20 numbers known) the total number of Limited Editions produced is equal to 2003? Let's take into account that the lowest existing number is 1. n(1) = 1 n(20) = 1907 n(max) = n(20) +...

ROCKSTER DOWN, I REPEAT WE HAVE A ROCKSTER DOWN IN THE CITY
Never had a building fall on my bike before. That's got to top trump most London insurance claims ... Somewhere under this little lot is (was) my 80 Ed no. 1106/2003.         http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/6746115.stm Oh, and I just LOVED going h...

ROCKSTER PUNCTURE, LONDON, 2 MAY
From a four inch masonry nail. A massive thank you to Riceburner 8) who appeared as if by magic (like the shopkeeper from Mr Benn) and lent me his Innovations puncture kit. All went well until we'd re-inflated the tyre and noticed that air was still coming out: not through the repaired hole i...

Ace!
Sorry I couldn't stay to make it five in a row. Great to meet you though. And thanks for capturing the naked terror on my face - 'if I nick the paint on just one of these custom scooters, their 200 mates ARE going to stomp me to bits'. While Ricey captures it all on camera. Thanks for negotiating me...

Spotted on a roundabout on the York ring road near Beningborough Hall at about 10:30 on weekend of 16/17 February. I think - it WAS about ten daze ago.

DISAPPOINTED
... I don't mind telling you. Thought sixteen quid was a bit steep (I remember when you used to be able to get a crash helmet, gloves, boots, full leathers, a tank of petrol and still have enough left over for two at the flicks and a takeaway after for that). Looking for some Daytona boots - just Si...

This reminds me of the time I thought a pebble dropped into the cylinder of my ‘80 CB900F when I was changing spark plugs. I spent about 2 hours with my wifes vacuum trying to pull the rock out, followed by two days of pulling the motor apart only to find the pebble perched neatly on my bike ...

Boots with a lift
Do you guys know which boots tend to have a taller heel? I only have a 30" inseam so I could use the extra help... I have no problems on the Roadster as I am completely flat footed knees bent but on my CBR600RR, the seat height is about 32.5 inches and not to mention my KLX is 35 inches...

VFR vs Rockster
I had a 1998 VFR 800 fiw (so gear-driven, not chain-driven cams) for two years. Utterly reliable, comfortable, plenty fast enough, and more forgiving than a sports 600 (except possibly the Honda 600, which is very easy to ride). The main valve clearance service is every 12,000 miles and in good old ...

is 1106/2003! Hope this helps your catalogue. Best wishes for the New Year. http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/9083/bikeamsterdamwg1.jpg Nice initiative. I've begun keeping track of all Limited Edition 80 owners, but haven't come very far... This thread could be a good opportunity to expand the list...

Maybe: - Park with the back wheel hard against the kerb so you can't move the bike backwards. - Put the disc lock as near to the bottom of the caliper as possible so if you move forwards at least you haven't got much momentum up - cause less damage. - Develop a disc-lock ritual which makes removing ...
