Re: Boxer side sliding
thanks for your replies. The police took nearly 5 months to produce their expert calculations and it turned out to be 11 pages long full of formulas and generalities. They did not adress the point I made from day one that a comparative data on the sliding distances of different types of motorcycles ...

Boxer side sliding
Hi all, I wonder if anyone here has had a similar experience. Last May I had an accident where a driver coming from the opposite direction made a sudden right turn crossing my lane. Afterwards of course the driver said she had not seen me coming. Applying all the brakes available the bike went down ...

Re: Fuel Spraying when Braking?
I had an identical problem couple of weeks ago. It was the quick connect that caused it. The spray was so fine that I never actually saw it, only smelled the gasoline when the bike was still but engine running. A scary feeling actually.

Re: Handlebar raisers
I fitted the mototech risers a few days ago without any refitting of cables or hoses. I find the bike to handle even better than before and the position is more relaxed. Just perfect.

Handlebar raisers
Does anyone have any comments on this? Raising the handlebar and moving it back. Are there many types and anything that I should avoid?

Re: Certain doubts
Well I bought the bike yesterday and brought it home today. A 2005 RR, with 6k miles on the clock. It looks great and rides great. Certainly different from my previous F650GS single cylinder which is also a great bike. I would have loved to keep it too, but one bike is enough. Anyway, first thing I ...

Certain doubts
Hi all, I have been reading your forum for the last few days and picked up a lot of info on the R1150R. I am considering buying a 2005 non ABS version but after reading your threads I don´t know what to think. First of all; Abs or non ABS. My conclusion is to go with the ABS, not so much because I w...

Re: Newbie, about to buy a R1150R
Thanks very much for informative replies. I am seriously considering buying the bike. Partly because I think it looks great and partly because I really liked riding it; I think it must have the lowered seat but I will find out for sure. Anyway, that will have to change before any serious touring is ...

Newbie, about to buy a R1150R
Hi all, I am new to this forum. I have for the last 3 years ridden a F650GS but am now considering changing over to a R1150R. I have one particular bike in mind, a 2005 non ABS -which I am not sure if is a good thing or bad - my 650 did not have ABS, its got 10K on the clock and seems in a very good...
