Re: Changing tires today. Going to Road Pilot 3's
Nobody answered the question. Can you lean hard on the PR3's. I'm on my second set of conti's and I can scrape my pegs. Can that be done with the PR3's? Thanks in advance. Yes lean angles on the PR3's are amazing in both the dry and the wet (peg scraping will be do-able). I would dought that the Co...

Re: Changing tires today. Going to Road Pilot 3's
I went to Michelin PR3s on both of my BMW's a month ago, must say they are the most confidence inspiring tyre I have riden on. I have recentl;y returned from a 1950km 4 day trip on my 2010 R1200RT and they (the PR3's) were sensational (replaced the standard Metzeler Z6). I have clocked up about a 80...

SYDNEY OWNERS RIDE
For those who reside in Sydney Australia how about a group ride to say north to Wollombi or south to Berry?
Thinking that sometime in mid to late November (when hopefully our weather will be on the improve).
Open for discussion.

Re: 2011 leaking fork seals anyone?
Yep, same problem on my 2011 R1200R, happened at about 3,000kms. Fork seals replaced under warranty. Looks like a common problem for this series of roadster. Having said that, got to say loving this bike.

BRIDGESTONE BT-023
I am far from needing new tyres yet, but before you know it I will be hunting around for repalcements I have been reading about the Bridgestone BT-023, reads well an `all things to all men' type of tyre. Has anyone used them and if so impressions. I am currently on Metzler Z8 which are pretty much f...

Re: 2011 r1200r downunder
Hi Guys Firstly, Australian delivered Roadsters are delivered with ABS, Traction, ESA, sports screen and heated 2-stage hand grips. My experience with this purchase is that the dealer network are prepared to price match (which makes it possible to purchase from local dealer). The RRP isn't set in st...

Dear Cyber Friends I have had the 2011 R1200R SE for close to a month now, it is currently at the dealers for 1st service (1,000kms) and the fitting of panniers and polymer type head protectors. My impression so far is an astounding WOW. The bike remains true to the naked BMW tradition of being quir...

Re: New old fellah
People,
Always up for a ride, where and when?
The latest news from dealer is delivery either Wednesday or Thursday. My biggest problem is that I will be in Perth this weekend and wishing I was riding the new aquisition somewhere south of Sydney.

Re: New old fellah
I'm in Sydney, I wanted the graphite matt colour, but too was told May, June delivery. Whereas with the light grey metalic R1200R SE there were three in Melbourne (now there are two). Evidently, the R1200R SE is new for 2011, hence the additional kit and of course the twin cam (HP2) motor. I have ha...

Re: New old fellah
Here in Oz, we are getting a choice of three colours in the 2011 R1200R SE model range: a metalic red, light grey metalic and a metalic matt graphite, oh and a black with white stripe classic model. The colour I have chosen was not available locally in the 2010 range. Now I liked the looks of the cl...

Re: New old fellah
Well, I know the Roadking is a compromise, but my wife likes it. In fact, I can say hand on heart the Harley will only get an outing when the other half wants to go for breakfast. Think of my predicament, I will be re-calibrating my riding technique every time I change bikes.........for e.g. one wit...
