dragonmojo,

Important question and one that I researched before the purchase.

600 miles - $250
6k miles - $450
12k miles - $700
18k miles - $450
and repeat

I ended up getting a maintenance package for $1995 that will take care of all scheduled factory maintenance for 3 years or 36k miles.

gel9001, I think you're right - I've noticed quite a few members moving to other bikes. One thing that did surprise and dissapoint is the prices for used R1150Rs, even the ones with ABS. I tried selling mine but didn't have any takers for a while. I ended up trading it in and got what some people in...

Ha ha very funny guys...... I picked up the Multi on Friday and rode home as gingerly as I could. It took a bit of getting used since I've grown familiar with servo brakes, little fork dive and somewhat sluggish take off. The handlebars are very different too - less angle and a lot like a dir...

Auf Wiedersehen BMW

Hey everyone, I sold my Roadster today and will be picking up a...........brace yourselves..... Multistrada 1000s DS. You've all been extremely helpful when I've had problems with my bike and I have to say that'll I'll miss the camaraderie (but maybe not the bickering over the ABS/Servo brakes :roll...

Kristi was nice enough to send her extra left cover to me so I had a full set. Went out for a ride yesterday and lost the right side. :smt013

Looks like I'll be buying a set form Morton's (if they have any in stock). Or maybe just forget the whole thing........

I lost the left side a week ago. Guess I must be special :? The covers attach to the injector housing with a C clip but the housing bodies aren't smooth cylinders - there are ridges on the lateral sides. When the C clip grips these ridges, the cover seems to stay in place. But, if they grip the smoo...

Re: ABS RUINED my undershorts...

I was coming to an intersection pulled on my brakes and the bike just went as if nothing had been applied, cars were going by fast and I swear it was scary. Then of its own bolition the damned bike decided to stop... ON a dime, pronto! ! Hey Israel, As you were approaching the intersection, was the...

ErikU, I asked the same question when I got my bike last year. This is the info that was given to me by a forum member. Unfortunately, I don't think the actual part numbers are on the seats themselves. FYI: the -532 is the 'tall' seat that's right between the Low and High models. "Dual Seat&quo...

Hey Bry, I have the exact same feelings regarding my clutch/spline issue that happened when my bike had only 4000 miles on it. The dealership was fantastic about getting to the root of the problem and fixing it. But it does taint your experience somewhat when your new, premium motorcycle with engine...

Parts Unlimited is a distributor for many motorcycle products. If you step into a dealer to order an accessory, they will invariably turn to one of several phonebook sized catalogues on their counter - Parts Unlimited is one such catalogue.

Hope this helps.

From the blurb on the Pirelli website, the Diablo Strada is their new sport-touring radial or as they call it the 'Extended Mileage Sport'. There's another sport-touring radial called the Sport Demon but it seems to be a lower mileage tyre.

The tall seat is just about perfect for me and I have, shall we say, a medium rear end. I tried the high model but that was very uncomfortable as the sides of the saddle had a chamfer that cut into my thighs. The tall seat has a little more spread, front and back, which is supportive without restric...

The comments on the site (see below the pics) have a little more info about the accident. And similar doubts about authenticity.

There may be something more to this than poor quality control on BMW's part. I had a second conversation with the Service Advisor and got more info from him. In addition to the clutch spline, they did have to change out the clutch gasket because of a leak as well as the clutch master cylinder. There...
