She's all mine!

Post by R4R&R »

I received my title for the R1150R two days ago in the mail! Now I don't have the looming payment to make me justify owning the bike - it's paid for! Cheaper miles now, but I have to stay away form the dealers - those F800 bikes are appealing, and the new R1200R......

I have just over 50,000 miles on it now and look forward to keep it for another 50,000!

Now, where to ride to next!

I am in the club too!
I know what you mean about those 2 bikes. I will not even ride the R1200R!
I do want to ride the F800 at some point and probably will. It seems really nice. I dont think I want to give up the plushness of the shaft drive and the telelever suspension though.

:D I am happy for you. My pay-off date is getting near.

oooohhhhh next summer 8) What will I ever do with the money that is currently making payments for my bike? Hotels, retaurants, and gasoline, maybe some accessories and expanded clothing options. :D
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

I have a different plan. You own it from day 1 by tapping a savings account. I'm not wealthy, just fortunate to get blue-collar jobs/careers that pay well. To get there I keep my bikes a long time and don't buy another until the $$$ is there. The `90 Suzuki VX-800 before my 50R I kept for 11 years! Good thing I really liked the bike.

The way I enjoy my 1150R, by the time I'm ready for another bike there'll be a fortune saved!

Congrats!

I own both of my vehicles; I also keep them for a long time. All of my riding friends have new bikes, so it's hard to hang with these 2007 models with my old 2004 R :D Going to the dealership is hard when the owner keeps dangling keys to the K1200R Sport in my face. He's pure evil!

Super.... I just got my title back a few days ago.....It's a GREAT feeling. I'll have my Honda Shadow ACE sold by the end of the week, so my cash outlay wasn't too bad. Now..the Beakster is totally mine, the Shadow will be gone...and I'll have plenty-o-room in the garage! :D

Tell me about it. I've been looking....on the internet/eBay/Craigslist, etc. The only BMW I would seriously look at would be an F800ST or S. Most likely my next bike will be used, street a Buell, dual purpose, a DR or KLR.

Must...find...something....else...to...do...in...my....spare....time...

Congrats to all you folks. Spring '08 and mine will be mine. I have toyed with the idea of trading but I still get many compliments on my machine and it still looks and runs great. My next major purchase will probably be along the lines of a replacement for my truck.

Ride safe!

It's a good feeling, ain't it!

Also makes it a little easier to avoid the 'new bike' syndrome, not having a payment! :P
