widder temp controller mounting question

Post by pat ryan »

all-
just received my widder vest and am looking to shorten the learning curve. has anyone come up with a neat/tidy way to mount the rather bulky, sharp-cornered temp-controller for the widder devices? i'm thinking a velcro patch low on the gas tank. what say you?
thanks in advance,
pat

I've done exactly as you suggest and have a patch of industrial velcro on the left side of the tank. This has worked pretty well for me. It keeps the control visible while riding.

Me too! A Gerbing controller attached to the gas tank on the left side near my upper thigh - just at the edge of the saddle. Easy to reach but never in the way. I used the industrial strength velcro.

I mounted my gerbing controller on the frame opposite to the sticker with the VIN number with duolock velcro. It is kind of hidden there, easy to reach and does not mar the tank.
