OK, I'll admit it, I like the white bike more too... it shows the lines of the bike better, and have always thought so. The all white Wudo bike has always made me want.... for now I'll just focus on riding the one I have.
Even though the white bike might look better to most, can it lay down, roll over and do tricks like this?!


Keeping my promise to myself I will sacrifice the bike before putting too much stress on my foot... the good news is the 6 weeks using forearm crutches has given me great upper body strength making it easy to pick up...

Joe, both sisters are GREAT!
The point is not what the white one can do, but what its driver can do with her... I can't even wonder to ride your way offroad, on gravel ...

It just happened while turning around on gravel, under normal circumstances I could have easily stopped it from falling, but like I said I won't risk injuring my freshly healed left foot and just let it drop once it was going over... no big deal really, and the oem guards did a good job protecting the valve covers so who cares. That is the reason I'm not going off tarmac except when necessary, I know I would be risking my foot, and don't feel like picking up my bike... honestly it's kind of killing me passing all these great dirt roads leading up into the mountains going somewhere.... I'm stuck riding the same roads as the HD folk.
Enough whining about riding some of the most beautiful landscapes around....

Thanks ziobato, I do like both of em', just giving some respect where respect is do...

Roughing it with gadgets describes this trip very well. I won't be taking some of the crap like my laptop again.. Needed to on this one for business and thats why Im doing the blog. No the next one though...

Checking out your web site and your link to SPOT and your route.
I noticed that the SPOT only shows the last 24 hours of your route.
It seems each day it resets itself.

I think it would be nice to see your entire route from day 1, and each waypoint is then added to your route to date.

Any thoughts..

the spot sharing page is a new feature and is in the beta phase still. I can access the last 30 days but not you. Hopefully that will change, the people from spot are active on ADV and had are listening to riders... I will have a gpx file after trip with a very detailed track from my garmin, showing speed, altitude, etc... The garmin has recorded over 30,000 track points already...

As for the shocks, and the rest if the bike....
Let's just say I've "tested" the durability of ohlins and the bike more than ever... 90 miles on very rough jeep trails around Moab, Ut. today alone... With no problems... I've spent a decent amount if time playing with the shocks and tire pressure to get the best performance on and off road... Love the Ohlins. The problem now is they inspire confidence where I need a little fear...
the only casulty so far is my D40... But thats why I bought a "cheap" DSLR... Still working, no flash or auto focus...
I'm now camping at 9,500' 70 miles north of Durango, Co..... Another rough road to find this campsite, yet I still can get online on my iPhone... Go figure.
I've had done difficulty updating my site and have to wait until its over to sift through the 3000+ pictures I have taken.
I will post soon...

Joe, How did you hurt your camera in that pelican case? But still you can take lots of good pictures without a flash or auto focus.

it happened with the camera hanging off the bike when a rv was illeagally driving on one lane dirt road going over a pass in Montana and clipped me. Still shooting plenty of pics...

Well.... it's over.
I'm in Denver at a nice hotel courtesy of the tour I'm starting and have tomorrow to service my bike to get it ready to store for 6 months. I still have to find a place to store it.... back to reality, and it sucks.
The good news is I'm in good shape and survived my trip...
I haven't been able to update my site and now seeing that I have over 3500 pictures to sift through it will be a little while before I will do a full-on story. The end of the trip turned out to be the best, with many exciting and beautiful moments - from riding through a sea of flower while riding a ATV trail at 10,000 feet, getting stuck at 11,500 feet trying to make it to the top of a pass off tarmac, to riding in the desert with everything in between.
The bike is good, with a few minor broken parts ( I broke the GS skid plate mount, and tank ring), and my foot is OK.
