I was in a hurry to get back on the road and forgot to flip that little tab back down (that covers the keyhole) when fueling.
I tossed the tank bag over it, and wrestled the clips together, and the tab broke off. It really isnt a big deal, but it looks like crap and it annoys me.
Am I going to have to replace the whole lid and get it re-keyed? That sounds like a fairly expensive proposition.
Has anyone else done this?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

A quick search at Max's on line shows only the whole filler cap at $102.00.
I'd probably be buying some JB Weld first!!
Good luck-

I bought an "04 R1150R and the previous owner had broken that key cover also. I bought a cap from Beemerboneyard and replaced only the cover. It was easy.

Think that it is possible to take the lock out of mine and put it into a silver one?
Oh, and thanks everyone!
