The Wrong Bike

Post by snag »

Just curious, has everyone seen The Wrong Bike video? For a BMW rider, it's not for the faint of heart and you do have to send the kid's out of the room, but worth a watch.

OH - that one (Googled it..) Yup. Somewhat old news.

Here is a link to it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukAhlxl4hmM - according to a friend who wasted a few hours at YouTube - there are several hundred videos that have used that clip now for all sorts of things.

It totally funny, well I think it is. Never considered my bike as farm equipment. Do "hip" europeans really think that about BMW motorcycles?

It's Friday night, the bike is in the barn for the winter (except for the last oil change of the year), I'm feeling kind of lonely, first stages of withdrawal, the snow won't be gone until the end of April, any contact is good contact, forgive me.

I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. I thought it was truly one of the most humorous things I've seen in months.

I can sympathize with your withdrawal symptoms a bit. My black, 2009 R1200R arrived hours before I flew from Chicago to China, so I won't get to see the new, shiny, ride until late November and by then, riding season may be over. I don't let the rain and wind stop me, but ice and salt are different and my best case would be a few days of riding before the long wait...I think March is often acceptable around here. The trick is to wait for the first rain to wash the salt off the roads.

Hang in there...I dream of riding around Jasper (my favorite place in the province) on my RR this summer. I"m sure it will be worth the wait.

Regards

Roman,

When spring comes and you think about coming north drop me a line, there are some really good roads from the border up to Jasper and into BC that would make the trip really worthwhile. And if you want to plan over the winter I can send you some routes that you can ride on Google Earth.

You are going to love the 12R, it is everything that you have read on the forum. From naked to dressed (or the other way around) in minutes and that wonderful boxer motor, is it April yet???
