New bike

Post by GypsyRR »

Just thought I'd post a picture of my recent purchase. I sold the 1200GS, kept my '05 R1150R, and '04 DR650 and found a little 250. This is a used (414 miles) '08 XT250 I picked up at a Harley dealership in Springfield, MO earlier this month. It's light, short, and a lot of fun to ride. The only complaint or thing I've noticed so far is that first gear seems to be a bit short and second gear a bit long for the type of terrain I was riding. It's as if there is a gap between first and second gear that needs to be filled. But before I start changing out sprockets, I'm going to give it some more challenging hills or different terrain to try. Otherwise, the bike cruises along fine with only 5 gears at 70 mph, but prefers 55/60 and below.

Here it is - still clean as a whistle after 250 miles of dirt and riverbed riding recently. Now it's ready for it's first service.

I don't know... sounds like a personal add in the making...

Attractive, thirty something, athletic, female, likes to get dirty. Looking for camera man who can keep up. Call for private audition.

Chi-Town? Where you at? Go take some photos of this woman doing rostertails, would you... :p

You have land to ride off-road close to you?
