Morgan Carbtune

Post by rdsmith3 »

I just got the Morgan Carbtune that I ordered one week ago. It comes from Belfast, Northern Ireland, so one week is pretty good (better than Chicago BMW).

I have not used it yet, but I am looking forward to synching the throttle bodies with this. Best of all, because of the current favorable exchange rate of $ to GBP, I got it for under $80 (total price inc. shipping).

I got one when I had my Bandit. Did you get the 4 or the 2 version. If you got the 4 will it work on our 2 cylinder bikes? Anyone out there know?

Yes, the four will work on a two cylinder.

However, I got the two to save money. Some day, when I have a K1300, I will regret not buying the four cylinder version.

I have got one of the MK1 carbtunes with the pot of murcury and have used it on loads of different bikes simple to set up and use
has definatly paid for itself
although I have had to make a couple of addapters to fit different carbs
and yes you can definatly notice a difference when a bike is in balance.

You could use that to sync two bikes at once! Kinda like having identical twins.

Good looking tool.....I still have my mercury small bore tubes, probably 45 years old.....don't let CycleRob see your post as he would have mentioned his home made (very good indeed) $3 manometer.
