Except the second spark plug and the magnesium cylinder covers are there any more differences between 2001 and 2005 model. Is it true that 2005 model has bigger horsepower.
Thanx in advance and sorry for my lowsy english.

Re: differences between 01 and 05 model
Not much by way of change or HP diferences. I have run into a couple that had FD (final drive) bearing problems at around 50K miles or 80K kms aside from the other little/big issues that have been posted in this forum.

Re: differences between 01 and 05 model
Model year differences are limited to dual spark cylinders (2004), Motronic software/firmware version updates (2004/2005), minor valving changes in the ABS module (2004), transmission gear parts changes (2002/2003), and paint.

in addition to those changes, the '05 also had stainless steel braided clutch and brake lines.

As does my '04, I don't think the 01-03s had them.shake1150 wrote:in addition to those changes, the '05 also had stainless steel braided clutch and brake lines.
