Leo Vince and BMW panniers?

Post by jed1 »

Hi all,

Ive done a bit of a search here in relation to exhausts etc and I have not yet been able to find a definitive answer in relation to the following.

Does anyone here have the Leo Vince "SBK FACTORY EVOII CARBON w/ CARBON END CAP" exhaust fitted to their bike? If so, are you able to tell me if the standard BMW panniers still fit ok, and still with some reasonable clearance between pipe and pannier?

Many thanks in advance for replies.

I have the titanium version with the carbon end cap and the BMW panniers work just fine with that slip on Exhaust.

Dave, thanks heaps for your reply. Do you know if the titanium and carbon exhaust are the same dimensions and fitted to the bike the same?

Thanks, Jed.

I believe they are identical in size but you may need to check their web site.

I installed the carbon/carbon slip on. it's a little tight, but there is some clearance. i tightened it and then put the side case on and found they were touching, so i loosened the retention band and the ring tweaked the pipe down a little. that left about 1-2cm clearance and it hasn't budged after a thousand miles or so. i never had a carbon fiber exhaust before, it really never gets too hot to touch. i was worried about it being that close to the side case. it sounds great.
