Hey Rob, take a look at this thread over at the F800 site.

Tell me what you think of these things? It sounds like something I might need. My front end feels sort of mushy to me.

Re: Intiminators
They are written up on Advrider too. The function description sounds exactly like the RaceTech GoldValves I installed in my ST. The GV's are also less than 1/2 price!! RaceTech was first with the cartridge emulator retrofit concept and have the most experience and development time. These intiminator guys look like copycats for the dirt crowd.
We can solve your fork dive and mushiness problem with a higher level of heavier weight oil, or if you wanna do the GV's. Either way, you know where I live.

Re: Intiminators
Well, the RaceTech GVs sound fine to me. I just want something to absorb more impact when I hit the dirt roads...whenever that is. I don't envision going in the woods or anything, but some of the dirt roads out west are like washboards.
Do you have a part number for the GVs or should I just go look around for what to use? No rush, but maybe I can come over once I get the parts...and it gets a little warmer. Right now I'm investing in a custom seat from Oregon. This seat is for a harder a$$ than mine.

Re: Intiminators
Phil,
The p/n is
FEGV S4301NV
I can get them at a discount for you from my shop. My drill press makes easy work of accurately drilling and enlarging the damper rod 5/16" holes. You'll need a 1 liter bottle of 15W fork oil and we're ready to go. You can choose the date . . . just gimme a day's notice.

Re: Intiminators
I always defer to Rob's superior knowledge. Also, I have no experience with the RaceTech product.
However, I've been reading, for the past several months, glowing reports about the Ricor Intiminators on the DR650 forums and the Triumph forums from riders that have had the RaceTechs and the Ricors. IMO, the consensus seems to be a pretty even match.
The advantage to me, is that that the Ricors are "drop-ins"; no drilling the damper rod holes, just empty the old fork oil, remove spring, drop in the Intiminators, add 5w synthetic fork oil...maybe cut the spacers to compensate for the length of the Ricors (some don't).
Ricor has an established history in auto racing shocks, and is just getting into moto shocks.

I purchased a set of Intiminators for my DR650 and Bonneville.... offered at a half price introductory offer. I haven't installed them because of health issues that have kept me off the bikes. Hopefully, I will be able to offer a first hand evaluation in a month or so.
BTW, Ricor just sent out an email coupon for 20% off, good til Christmas.

Re: Intiminators
They perform the same basic functions of better low speed damping along with superior high speed compression damping. RaceTech has you drill the damper rod holes to make the stock high speed metering completely disabled. Apparently the influence they had on the high speed damping was too disruptive and the 4 medium holes was changed to 6 larger holes. I wonder if the over twice as expensive Intiminators design team successfully found a way around that.

Re: Intiminators
Rob, this is something I'd like to do once I recuperate from Christmas and get other items paid for. I'd be happy to go the RaceTech route, and I'll let you know when I want to order them through your shop. That sounds like the best option for my purposes.
