r1150r fuel filter

has any body had any problem puting fuel filer out side of tank

YES! You have to hold your mouth just right... :lol:

It will come out, really! Just work slowly, don't force anything (too much) and be sure all the pieces go back in the way they were!

I cant remember the sequence exactly, but it's something like...lift the lower edge of the plate out first, rotate it CW a little to get some hoses out, lift the top edge out then rotate it CCW ~90 deg to get the filter and pump assembly (including the sock) out, and voila! If that doesn't work, try rotating and tilting it the other way... and think like a German engineer!

You may be able to reuse the small hose clamps for the vent lines if you are careful prying them open, and be sure they snap close again, but the crimp clamps for the filter should be replaced with FI style hose clamps (available at Autozone).

will forget the external fuel filter on r1150r just got done its not a bad job just dont forget to get the fuel lines all the way together are u will hear the fuel pump making a bad noise
