All,
New to BMW bikes and looking for an experienced wrencher in Memphis to possibly show me the maintenance ropes. I'm mechanically inclined and am confident I can do many things based on maintenance items I've read here on the forum, but it's hard to beat experience. Look forward to hearing from anyone who might be inclined to assist a newbie. Happy to pay it back with dinner and drinks or labor in helping them with a project.
Red 2004, 5,300 miles, ABS, heated grips, stock seat. I did just install two new tires. Thanks to all who posted about being careful on new rubber in previous threads! Taking it easy for a few miles for sure.
Any experienced wrenchers in Memphis, TN?

Welcome aboard
A lot has been posted regarding the basic maintenance, including videos. Suggest you do a search. I posted 4 videos a few years back dealing with valve adjust, TB sync, tune up an alternator belt change/adjustment. Let me see if I can source them for you.....
Lucky for you, there are a few long term members and good wrenches in your immediate area.

Hey Cameron, it looks like we've got the same bike, excluding ABS.
I'm actually in Memphis myself (the Cordova area) and I would be more than happy to show you what I know.
Another alternative is searching these boards for tutorials and how-to guides; there's some really great information in that search box.
