Re: trailering
I know I have seen K bikes pulling trailers in the past. I pull one with my Harley. The only problem pulling one is it pushes you some in the corners. I'm not sure I would use my R to pull one because I consider it a sport tourer and I like twisty roads. MMMM good question! If I was to pull a trailer with the Boomer I would probably get one of the single wheel trailers and go with that.

Re: trailering
This thread was dead (and that is just the way I thought it should be) but I happened to see an ad concerning a maker of t......... h....... for an BMW's including the R12GS. I can't bring myself to say the words.
Here's a link to the website. http://www.dmcsidecars.com/hitch-pages/bmwhitches.htm
You will notice that they don't offer one for the R1200R because hitching a trailer to such a beautiful bike is heresy but Satan's minions always stand ready to aid apostates in damnable acts such as those mentioned as the subject of this thread. However, they have made hitches for a lengthy list of BMWs including the HP2 and I'm sure they will make one for the R12R as well. The prices are $425, $500 powder coated and $700 chrome plated.
If it runs you over some day I will mourn the loss of your camaraderie but I will tell everyone "I told him so".
