Happy new owner!

Post by psych »

After much deliberation and reseach I pulled the plug and purchased a 2002, 17,000 mi, sargent seat, bar back, luggage, non ABS, Black (the fastest color). The 20 mi ride home convinced me I found the bike of my dreams. Previous rides included mostly on/off road thumpers including Honda 125, Yamaha 250, Yamaha 500, Honda 500, BMW 650 Paris/Dakar, and Kawaski Versys. I'm 57 and have been riding for over 40 years, never had a bike like this before, it oozes quality. Thanks for all your help, although I never posted here before, I read hundreds of other posts which helped greatly.......Well the sun is coming up and it's time for a ride!

Welcome aboard psych! Sounds like you are psyched.

Your background sounds similar to mine. Lots of off road experience. I've had my '02 for about three months now and opposed to regretting it, still look forward to riding it every chance I get.

Congrats on the new ride! My '02 is still going strong at nearly 60,000 miles and still makes me happy on every ride! Enjoy!

And see my sig line for the color I ride! ;)

Welcome aboard. My 2004 is a complete joy to ride and I am always looking for more time in the saddle.

Silver is clearly the fastest ride!!
