R1100R Rear Rack options?

Post by bugtussle »

Ive got a new to me 99 R1100R with OEM side cases on it. I want to install a rear rack so I can attach a Givi top case that I already have. Im finding really limited options on available racks. I like the looks of the OEM rack but @ $305. its a little spendy. Any suggestions on what might fit? Maybe from another more popular model? Thanks!

Givi make one - you need the arms and the top plate - and I think it will fit with the BMW side cases. Careful with the BMW rack - I attached a Givi plate a E52 top box and it snapped the rack without much in it. May have just been an unlucky situation. Not aware of any others.

I snapped my rack top plate when I had the GIVI as well - they are pretty fragile I think they are lightly crowned and the GIVI plate tries to force them flat
