Valve stem hole size

Post by motojoe »

I did a search on this topic and read lots of great stuff on metal valve stems written here. However I only came upon one person who said he thought the hole size for the R1150R was 11.3 mm. Would someone confirm this as the correct size for a replacement valve stem. I am interested in just putting new rubber stems in and would also appreciate any good sources for these. Thank You

My package is labeled 0.453 inches, which works out to 11.5mm, which I guess is close enough to 11.3mm. It's the smaller of the two sizes available at NAPA. I also use the shorter ones (7/8 inch), as it can be a might difficult to get an air chuck on anything much longer.
