Can the riser for an R1150R fit an R1200R? Any year restrictions? Is the stock cable length ok?
Up 1 inch and back 1 and 1/4 inch -- brand Moto Techniques
I would prefer not to put risers on my bike but riding only an hour is not sitting well .... it's my back.

Re: handlebar riser R1150R to R1200R
I currently have the Moto Techniques risers on my 2009 R1200R.
From their web site, it seems like they're compatible. On the down side, looks like they're out of business.

I see all that.... to bad. I found these risers on ebay for twenty more....got email to moto-tech and maybe I can buy them even though they are going out of business.
Is there another riser manufacture whose riser fit both models? Seems if one does then all would.

I transfered my Verholen (MV) risers from my R1150R to my R1200R. They do not fit perfectly and actually split the base of the of the right riser. They may work if you put a thin washer inside the riser. Otherwise nothing I had on the R1150R transfered to the R1200R.

My recommendation would be something from Rox. They have both block and pivoting risers that should be pretty universal. I've used them on past bikes and plan to use them on the R1200R.

Re: handlebar riser R1150R to R1200R
I fitted the Touratech Streetline risers a few weeks ago. Nice clean installation. No issues with brakelines, etc.
Made my wrists, hips and knees feel better, and my seat is now more comfortable.
Rode 8 hours on Sunday last week with no discomfort.

Re: handlebar riser R1150R to R1200R
Does touratech or anybody else make a similiar handlebar riser for the 2012 R1200R classic? I also don't want to deal with new brake lines if possible.
Thanks
