Whats this awful white stuff!

Have you ever polished or waxed your bike then noticed white smeers on the black trim parts? This always happens to me. Even more now with my new 1200R. Most of the black trim is not smooth and shiney. It's dull and sort of rough.

I have discovered WD40 on a cleen rag will remove it completely. HA! Yet another problem this wonderous product eliminates.

Any other tricks anyone has discovered?

Try Armor All Butter Smooth Wax or Eagle One Gel Wax with Carnauba... Both these do NOT leave white residue on black
plastic trim.

I have had good luck removing those white hazy mistakes with Back to Black and Silicone sprays.

Thanks for the tips MM and ammolab. As soon as the awful white stuff stops falling this weekend I'll work on that awful white stuff.

Luckily I got a brief ride in this morning and snow started getting heavy just as I pulled i the drive. Quick under the cover and wait for this NE storm to be over. I wish I had a garage...
