My bike's value?

Its hard to get a good idea of what bikes are worth. I am selling my 2004 r1150r. It is in very good condition with only some minor scratches on the left cylinder head from the previous owner dropping the bike at low speed. Otherwise the bike looks new. Its only got 8300 miles on it. The blue book says $6300 but it has far less miles on it then what blue book uses to estimate its worth. I am wondering what I should ask for the bike? Anyone?

For what it's worth, last July I purchased my 2004 R1150R, 10K miles, non-ABS, Sargent seat, side cases, no scratches, Boston area, for $4,500. Based on what else was on the market, I felt that was a good price so I jumped on it and paid the seller's asking price.

If it helps, I bought my 04 last March. 25k ABS, high & low seat, bag hangers...[had bags but they were junk],speedster shield. $5700.

Actually I paid a bit too much,..the motorcycle was not as advertised. Bent rear wheel, & just...tacky.

I had it shipped so?...but it cleaned up, I bought new wheels for it...and I'm happy with it.

One thing, if I may ?...just be honest. I was really disappointed with my sellers misrepresentation........

Last June I paid 7k for an 03' with 6000 miles on it.Abs, bags and touring windscreen, no scratches.I feel that was high, but now i've got 13,000 miles on the bike and I have had a great time with it.Between the miles,the club, the magazine,and the people I've met (including a girl I went to HS with,who rides with me),that 7k is the best money i have ever spent.

Thanks for the info, I am asking $6500. I think that's a good price. It has the ABS, I forgot to mention that.
